Weapons Technologies GAME START -Select a technology specialization -Place a starting location -Set up surrounding territories which are adjacent to starting locations (starting locations get bonus of +1000 Resources per turn) -Receive 3 turns worth of Resources -Spend resources on construction of ships and shipyards -Begin game GAME FLOW (simplified) -Get Resource Points depending on territories owned by player minus territory upkeep costs -Spend Resource Points on building new ships, shipyards, defense platforms -Move fleets, engage, battle -End of Turn FACTION SPECIFICS -All territories must be connected to the capital via adjacent territories or Phase-space Gates for it to receive income. -If a territory is not connected to the capital, then no income will be received from that territory, but the maintenance costs will resume. -If another faction holds territories between the player's, the player can negotiate a free-passage deal with the other faction. -Any territory can be abandoned, but doing so will remove any and all shipyards and other facilities constructed by the player at the territory. -If a Faction holds more territories than it can maintain, civil disruptions can begin. -If a Hero decides to overthrow the government, he can only try at this stage. -He must be able to survive an attack at the capital, and also posess the persuasion techniques necessary to rally a force behind him. -The capital's defenses will be weaker because of the lack of focus from the civil disruptions. -If the Hero successfully captures the capital, He will become the new Faction leader and gain control of all territories that are connected to the capital while the Faction Leader becomes a Hero.
